Congratulations to Chaz and Aoife. A super fun day at Ballymacgarvey Village. The Scots sure know how to party!
Ronan & Louise were a super cool chilled out couple who asked me to shoot their wedding a year back. I was all too happy to say yes, especially when they said that they wanted the photos to capture their wedding in a similar chilled out fashion! Thankfully the weather was on our side, and we were all set for an outdoor ceremony. I arrived early, started doing what I do best, which is taken photos, and began to document the day. It's all about capturing as much details as possible for someone's wedding. I don't want to miss a thing!
Everything is going smooth, all according to plan. Come 1.30, the chilled out plan for the day gets severely tested! Con, the druid who is marrying the couple hasn't turned up! The day changes tone fast. The ceremony begins at 2 and he's not here. Understandably the bride and groom are a little anxious. There are 3 shots in this gallery, just before ceremony where you see the expression on Louise's face, it says it all. Look out for them.
It's 2 o clock. Still not here. Apparently Con who is doing the ceremony doesn't have a mobile either. Yikes! Louise and Ronan handle the situation very well, and the wedding manager from the Mill was very reassuring, and was even ready to do the ceremony. On that note, I can't speak highly enough of the staff at The Millhouse. Excellent and very friendly. Brilliant venue. Anyway's it's looking like the guy isn't going make it, then below and behold at 2.15 he shows up in his van with a big smile. Wrong turn he said! The show goes on, and so it did, and it was a beautifully chilled out ceremony which made up for it. I think it added to the drama of the day, and everything went well in the end. A great day all in all.

This is one of the coolest and most fun weddings I have ever shot. Chupi is a well known jewellery designer that I happened to meet on a fashion shoot a while back. When she contacted me and asked me to shoot her wedding - I was absolutely thrilled, as I knew I was in for a treat, considering her innate creative talent. She told me that she wanted a no fuss wedding for herself and Brian. Mount Druid venue provided the perfect backdrop to match her stylistic vision for her wedding. There were so much details throughout the day, I honestly couldn't put my camera down! But it never felt like work, everyone was so pleasant and happy, the day just radiated positivity. I fed of this atmosphere and just did my thing, and thankfully Chupi and Brian were absolutely over the moon when they seen the results! A very unique and special wedding.
